JOB TITLE: IT Inventory Clerk

JOB SUMMARY: Inventory management, word processing, data entry, and routine paperwork and filing as required.  Performs complex clerical work involving independent judgment, requiring speed and accuracy. Operates modern office equipment including but not limited to personal computer, printer, calculator, photocopier and fax machine.  Processes Maintenance program data.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Advises and makes recommendations regarding logistics and procurement issues.
  2. Tracks and reviews supply requirements and submits the requirements to the IT Director / Assistant IT Director and assistants.
  3. Works closely with vendors, co-workers, managers, supervisors, and department directors on a constant basis.
  4. Accountable for organizing and maintaining accurate par levels and storage of supplies.
  5. Manages the Player Terminal Tracking System that monitors all modifications to the Player/CET/VGD system.
  6. Performs data entry as required.
  7. Insures compliance with all Department and Casino policy directives, and regulations.
  8. Safeguards and maintains accountability of department and Casino property.
  9. Promotes positive customer relations -- in person, on the phone, and through correspondence.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXTENT OF JOB AUTHORITY: Responsible for efficient management, information management, and clerical services for the IT department as it relates to the inventory. Orders and maintains IT supplies and parts under the guidance of the Assistant Facilities Director. Responsible for all data entry in information systems as required by the IT Director / Assistant IT Director.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required and preferred):
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITIONA minimum of two-years procurement, technical experience pertaining to computers, and clerical/data entry experience preferred. Must be able to type 40+ wpm. Typing test required. Must be able to handle working on multiple tasks at the same time with speed, efficiency and attention to detail. Must know correct business English, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, and have basic arithmetic skills.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows applications including MS Project, Word, Excel, Access and Internet. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of modern office equipment and practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer, office equipment and routine paperwork.  Ability to sit for extended length of time.
